A gate that does the watching for you
Pet containment is why most Oak Grove backyards get fenced, and the gate is where a fence usually lets the dog out. Ours closes itself on a spring hinge and locks with a catch the dog can't reach, so it doesn't matter whether the kids remembered to shut it on the way out to practice. That's the difference between a fence and a fence with a hole in it — and it's exactly the detail the older walk gates we replace out here are missing.
