It's east Shawnee's fence, and it doesn't pretend otherwise
Cross east of I-435 and the newer subdivisions give way to older, looser ranch blocks, the lots flatten, and the 1970s streets are full of chain link that has done its job for decades. That's where this fence belongs — a dog held, a side yard closed, a budget respected. We build it to keep doing that for another twenty to thirty years without a stain schedule or a panel swap, not to imitate a cedar privacy wall it was never meant to be.
